Hmmmm... This is a very interesting take on the theme "giving"! It's so creative and very out of the box.
But I think the controls can have some improvements... like a lot of improvements... it's so hard to control and not so fun to play at this current state. That and the fact that characters sometimes go off-screen... The pixel graphics also seem to be blurry -- if you are using an engine there is usually a quick fix for it by turning off the filter... I guess it's too late for now though...
Anyway nice work! Concept-wise this is very solid; and probably would have turned out to be a good game with more time.
Oh never mind... turns out it's just the intro and Game Over screen that's blurry... I just noticed that it's sharp during gameplay. Sorry for the confusion :P
Tried to screenshot the game over screen, but itch gave me the error "body: expected text between 1 and 20480 characters" whenever I try
I also did post a newer version in the comments on the submission page. Because the intention for the controls was to make the game challenging. But apparently it's too challenging for most. Too late to change anyway though.
I have been watching this game during the gamejam and I like how much it has improved. Sadly it was not possible for me to finish the game, because every few levels either my character or the enemies go off-screen. Still a great game and lovely idea! Big fan of the credit page, especially that last bit. ;P
Thank you very much. :D It was hard for me to balance graphics and gameplay but I'm happy with how it came out. I even animated the light emitted from the torches so it actually looks a bit like a flame. And only now I realized I forgot to make that light more yellowish. XD

What do you mean blurry? They're sharp on my screen. Can you send me a screenshot? And what browser are you using?

Ahh. I tried to fix that but it's not the game. It's the font. The menus are made using HTML. And I couldn't find the CSS code to fix it.
